Ever changing technology is making users try new and different email clients for regular email communication. These applications use MBOX file format whereas the MS Outlook users stick with PST format. PST and MBOX both store emails and other crucial mailbox data with equal precision but are just supported by different programs. The need to MBOX to PST migration arises when users want to read MBOX file in MS Outlook.
Shifting from one email client to another is not easy and requires a lot of expertise and time. Many times even after investing a lot of times, users fail to convert MBOX to Outlook PST files entirely. Here is the manual method of performing MBOX to PST migration.
First, import all mailbox data to an MBOX file. To do this, follow the steps below:
Open Apple Mail on your system and Click on Import mailbox option in the File menu.
- Select the program/file from which you want to import the data.
- Click on files in MBOX format and Click on Continue.
- Browse the location of MBOX file and Select the MBOX file that you want to import.
- Click Done when the process completes.
- Check for the file in the Import section of Apple Mail.
To continue the process, you must first use Eudora for final creation of the mailbox. Further, use Outlook Express to import the messages, and then import the mailbox to MS Outlook from Outlook Express. Follow the steps below to proceed:
